OPUS OUTDOOR PAINTING CHALLENGE
The #OpusOPC is Canada's biggest outdoor painting challenge, hosted annually by Opus Art Supplies. Artists of all ages, skill levels, and mediums are invited to their local Opus to paint their surroundings, display their work, and win prizes. With a total of 7 locations, this is a huge event to plan and coordinate.
In 2018, as the Marketing Coordinator, it was my responsibility to coordinate this year's event, including:
- Sponsorships: emailing potential sponsors; determining sponsor level perks; tracking perks to ensure sponsors are being represented; creating labels; and overseeing the distribution of over $30,000 of art material prizes
- Advertising & Media Relations: sending out a Press Release to the media, liaising with postering companies; requesting quotes; creating print-ready #OpusOPC materials to send to printers
- Customer outreach: setting up 7 events for registration; updating the website and #OpusOPC page; responding to customer queries about the event; responding to store requests;
- Design & Art Direction: designing posters, postcards, and bag stuffers; collaborating on the aesthetic direction of the selfie station (by Nicole Pinkerton); creating odds-and-ends like website banner advertisements, cinema trailer sliders, and more.

The entirety of the event has been the hard work of dozens of people at Opus over the years, and I'm glad to have had the opportunity to coordinate the project under the guidance of Erika Lax in 2018.
